Community Volunteer Income Tax Program

DID YOU KNOW THE VOLUNTEER CENTRE IS THE INTAKE AGENCY FOR LEAP

(LOW INCOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM)

If you’re behind on your electricity or natural gas bill and face having your service disconnected, you may qualify for emergency financial help through the Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP). There are also special customer service rules available for low-income households. You need to meet certain criteria to qualify for this program.  Please contact us for more information

TAX RETURN LOCATIONS

Year Round – Brockville:

Volunteer Centre – All year round, 2025 taxes starting February 23rd.

Monday to Thursday 10am to 3pm

Seasonal Locations

Prescott:

CSE Consulting – 191 King St. East

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am to 2pm

Staring March 10th. to May 1st.

 

Kemptville:

CSE Consulting -125 Prescott St.

Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays 10am to 2pm

Starting March 10st. to May 1st.

 

Gananoque:

375 William St.

Mondays and Tuesdays 1pm to 4pm

Starting March 2nd. to May 1st.

 

Elgin:

Guthrie House – 10 Perth St.

How do I know if I qualify?

Low to Moderate Income Filers:

Individual: max. $40,000
Couple: max. $50,000
Individual with Dependents: up to max. $70,000

Tax Return Assistance

Need a hand completing your income tax and benefit return?

If you are unable to complete your income tax and benefit return by yourself, consider using our Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.

Specially trained volunteers can help you complete your income tax and benefit return if your income is low and your tax situation is straight forward.

You can call the Volunteer Centre at 613-499-9393 for assistance.

You can call the CRA Helpline at 1-800-959-8281 to help get access to missing tax information.

This service is completely free and is supported by the United Way of Leeds & Grenville and the Canada Revenue Agency.

What do I need to Bring?

Please bring all of the following documents that you have to your appointment:

  1. All “T”-slips received for your income (e.g. T4, T4A, T4A(P),T4A(OAS), T4E, T3, T5, etc).
  2. Your T5007 form, received for: – Social Assistance – Worker’s Compensation – Disability Pensions
  3. Last year’s rent receipts or Property Tax Bills.
  4. All your medical receipts.
  5. All your charitable donations receipts.
